I have studied singing in Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra and America. I hold degrees in singing and performing as well as Education with a Masters in Music, a Bachelor of Music Education and an L.T.C.L. from Trinity College London.I have twenty years professional experience as a performer and teacher. I teach all ages but specialise in young voice to adults. The music my students sing ranges from Classical styles particularly song, to Musical Theatre, Jazz and Contemporary. I help singers with preparation for auditions, competitions, special events, music scholarships and AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) and Trinity Exams. My students achieve high success rates in all above areas. I hold regular Studio recitals, concerts and occasional workshops. I aim to provide my students with a good foundation of singing technique and aspects of performance and interpretation. I am a member of ANATS and MTA. Recently I undertook specialist audio vocal training in Tomatis. This training enabled me to understand some of the background and research into the special role the ear plays in singing and communication. It has helped me to incorporate exercises into my pedagogy that enhance audio vocal control and develop my students aural abilities. As a performer I have sung professionally in the following genres:

• Art Song, Melodie and Lieder including recitals, broadcasts and recordings
• Contemporary Music including Jazz and TV Commmercials
• Oratorio and Opera including roles and chorus
• Chamber Music including vocal music with small instrumental ensembles.
