Simpson's Picture References : Music references
|
Matt Groening and his cronies on The Simpson's team must have a bad case of Beatlemania!! There are hundreds of subtle and not-so-subtle references on the hit show. There is even an episode entitled 'The B Sharps'. This episode basically an episode which covers some of the Beatles history but replacing all the members of the Beatles with Characters from the Simpson's. There are loads of reference of the Beatles in this episode. Click here for all Simpsons Beatles References Apu is probably George Harrison. The only reason which links them is that Apu is Indian and it is known that George Harrison was into and influenced by Indian music Seymour Skinner is Supposed to be Ringo Star. This evident as when the press were interviewing Skinner in New York they asked him if he was the funny one. He replied that he was. It is known that Ringo Star was the funniest out of the four Beatles. Barney Gumble is supposed to be John Lennon. This is because during the episode he is seen with a Japanese conceptual artist in his bid to take the band to new places. This artist is supposed to Yoko Ono. Yoko Ono was John Lennon's Partner Finally Homer Simpson is supposed to be Paul McCartney. This is evident as he wrote most of the songs such as Baby on Board just like Paul. Also he had to hide his marriage to Marge Simpson so that it was known that he was available. Paul had to hide his engagement with Linda McCartney for the Same Reason |

A
parody of the Beatles Album Abbey Road Originally released in 1969. This
Amusing picture shows the Four Members os the Simpsons (from Left) :- Lisa,
Bart, Marge and Homer walking accross the famous Abbey Road. The
Attention to detail on this Picture is top notch. The Cars are in exactly
the same positions and are the same colors. The Simpson's characters are also
wearing the same clothes as the Beatles in the corresponding picture. Even
the tiniest similarities are there such as the holding of the cigarette
by the second person from the left. In the Beatles Photo it is Paul McCartney
and on the Simpsons Picture it is Bart Simpson. |
