My name is Allen. I'm 16 years old, and my mom and I want to do something special for my baby brother, so we are asking for your help.
We are trying to find a way to pay for things that Logan needs for physical or speech therapy, and getting to doctor appointments all over California with specialists, so that Logan will hopefully begin to verbalize. It's hard for my mom to drive to all these appointments with a car that barely gets us (and we barely fit into) to the grocery stores in the area we live in. Plus, Logan needs a specialty harness to keep him in his seat while we are on the road, because he is so active, and other safety equiptment as well. Because Logan is so demanding, my mom has to stay at home as he needs 24/7 care. This means the only money coming into the house for everything we all need is just what my dad gets from work, and what the state gives us. My mom says its just not enough to pay the bills every month and get the vehicle we need (with the proper safety harnesses for Logan) to replace the broken down car we have now, and physical or speech therapy items. Help us help Logan... we want Logan to have a voice!
This is my brother Logan. He is 7 years old, and has been diagnosed low functioning Autism with a severe developmental delay. This means he doesn't communicate with words - mostly he screams or brings things to you to let you know this is what he wants.
Help Us
We have a goal of making $5,000 for Logan and his needs. All it takes is a click and a dollar to start. OR... donate a vehicle to us... We need a LARGE vehicle... a station wagon, an SUV, or...? Has to run great, and fit a large family of 6.

A dollar could buy...
...a greeting card. ...half of a gallon of gas. ...a little bit of hope.
...a soda from a machine. ...a hotwheel car toy. ...a 3 minute phone call.
Think about this...
...if 5,000 people give up one soda, or a half of a gallon of gas... imagine, for the small amount of $1.00, YOU can help us reach our goal to help Logan, an Autistic child, talk.

October 15, 2003 - A quick note from Donna, Logan's mom... After discussing Logan at length with his special education teacher, Ms. Hudson, she has asked if I might be able to put out that we need doll house miniatures, to try to teach Logan in a way he might understand. As he is very tactile in many things he does, if he were, for example, handed a miniature bathtub, he would know it was time to take a bath. Likewise, a miniature school bus would mean time to leave for school, or a miniature bed would mean time for bed, etc... please feel free to email with any questions!
And as always... any help with these is a blessing, and whole heartedly appreciated!!
