Silver Wings is a national, co-ed, professional organization dedicated to creating proactive, knowledgeable, and effective civic leaders through community service and education about national defense.
The Walter R. "Waddy" Young chapter is located in the Air Force ROTC building at the University of Oklahoma, one block east of the student union on Felgar Street. We recruit members year-round from OU and crosstown schools affiliated with AFROTC Detachment 675. ALL students (undergraduate and graduate) in good academic standing are eligible to join. If you are interested, feel free to attend one of our meetings. They are at the Air Force ROTC building at 6:00PM on Thursdays.
There are many advantages to joining Silver Wings at OU. It is a national co-ed community service organaization. Members have the opportunity to fill leadership roles on the local, regional, and national level. It offers networking opportunities with students and military leaders from around the country. It offers opportunities to learn about the United States Air Force and show support for our military and our country. Silver Wings is also a fun organization, where you can participate in a variety of social events and attend regional and national conventions.
If you have any questions, there are several ways you can contact us. We have a mailbox in the Oklahoma Memorial Union in the UOSA office. Feel free to leave us a note there, or in our office in the Air Force ROTC building. Also, you can contact us at silverangel675@yahoo.com |
