Although I have never been a musician, I have been a band manager, (very briefly,) created press kits for local bands, wrote reviews for several local papers, and been an avid fan of the whole local scene and all rock music, from the 50s on.
I've spent endless hours over the years listening to rock radio, records, (plus, of course, tapes, CDs, and computer downloads), seeing rock movies, videos, DVDs, etc., going to teen night clubs, dances, bars, and concerts galore to see the bands live. I have been a disc jockey, (again briefly,) a roadie (briefly,) a rock photographer, and even tried singing, but found out I can't hit the high notes!
I was a big-time record collector since the 70s. I was addicted to the big search for obscure records that you can never find. I saved articles and photos from hundreds of magazines (many of which I still have,) but it became too cumbersome to move all this stuff every time I changed location. In the late 80s, I ran a record store. I now sell music items on eBay in my store, KwirkShop.
I want to have fun with this site and bring some pleasure to anyone who reads it.
