My Mustang, Whispering Winds of Freedom, AKA Rocky inspired the name Whispering Winds Painted Quarters.  I had always intended naming the farm after him, but needed to incorperate the Quarter Horses and my new Paint Stallion in the name somehow.  Since my mares are Quarter Horses, in essence breeding them to my Paint, would give me a 'Painted Quarter'.  So after much juggling with the name, I finally settled on Whispering Winds Painted Quarters.    I have since sold my stallion, and decided to focus soley on Quarter Horses, but for now the name will stay the same. The farm is located on 10 acres of family property.  I have 5 AQHA mares and 1 BLM Mustang gelding.  On April 22nd, 2006, Sport gave birth to a Palomino Stud Colt, nicknamed Diesel.  I offer horse back riding lessons and do some training, so if you are interested, please feel free to contact me.  It is important to me that every child that so wishes, has the opprotunity to ride or touch a horse.  References are available.
