Mercedes Benz 190E 6.0 AMG
AMG 190E 6.0 litre, about 400+ hp.
The garage went through it and took the motor down, there are now new
bolts everywhere. The engine is told to be from a 560 series, single cam
V8, but with upgraded pistons and reworked insides. The battery is mounted
in the trunk because of the weight factor.
It is a genuine AMG from the factory throughout, and it certainly also
look like it. There are some extra gauges under the radio (Probably the same as the ones in the 16-valved ones), and extra wood
trim around the dash. It has full black leather interior with tough cowhide.
There's nothing mechanically from the 190 on it, driveshaft, rear diff,
radiator, brakes etc are all bigger and better. Even the underhood padding
is removed since there isn't any room with the huge motor. Also no room
for a moving fan, it relys on three electric fans on the front since the
radiator is twice as thick and the pulleys are too close. Also no serpentine
belts, only vbelts.
This car is a socalled widebody, a name AMG used on their tuned Mercedes when they had widened the body, hence the name.
The car is a 1987 Mercedes Benz 190E 6.0 AMG and its asking price is (was?) 25.000$.
