Program Overview
What's SETP?
Summer Engineering Technology Program (SETP) is an introduction to engineering technology summer program for high school students. This program is designed to introduce and motivate students to consider engineering technology as a career. The program is one-week in length and is limited to 20 female high school students who are currently completing their freshman, sophomore, or junior year by this spring semester.
What Will The Students Do While Attending SETP?
Students selected for the program will spend one week on the GSU campus immersed in campus life. The main features of the program are lectures and laboratory demonstrations by faculty and students. A survey of each area of engineering technology and field trips to industry locations are also a part of the program.
What Is The Cost?
All Students will be housed in supervised dormitories and will be provided with three meals per day for $190. Students are required to provide their own transportation to and from GSU and be responsible for personal expenses.
How Can I Participate?
Complete and return the application with your high school transcript, and two letters of recommendation by the indicated deadline.
