The square SSMC sticker. The words across the pages of the book read: 'Disce Doce'. Nick W assures me that it is Welsh for 'tax disc' but it is in fact taken from the University Arms and is Latin for 'Learn and Teach'. The Welsh for 'tax disc' is 'disg treth'.
Castrol/SSMC logo - Apparently this logo was agreed with Castrol after extensive negotiations.

Crowther etc: I seem to remember this involved squirting cans of shaving foam in Crewe hall at about 1am. Clive Brooks and Penny FitzGerald also guilty.

Dave T and Paul R. I believe this picture was taken in 1972 at a private motor museum in Keighley, West Yorkshire owned by Peter Black (a footwear manufacturer?).
Dave T and Paul R in Dave's Ford Anglia 105E. I remember Dave fitting a 1500 cc (non crossflow) engine into it and not being able to get the exhaust manifold to fit. I can hear him now screaming 'NOTHING FITS!'.

Andy C'a Austin A40 with newly fitted Ford Escort spats outside his bed sit at 56 Wilkinson Street. Probably about April 1972. John D's Hillman Imp is behind the A40 and Steve C is sitting on the bonnet of his HA Vauxhall Viva behind that. 56 Wilkinson Street is now a solicitor's office.
