SYRIAN AIR FORCE
Syria has one of the most combat-experienced air forces in the world, which always seems to be just a step away from yet another conflict against Israel and its powerful IDF/AF.
Big (some 600 fast jets) but certainly ageing, the Syrian Air Force is trying to modernize with last generation fighter from traditional Russian providers. It is hard and (very expensive) to keep up with Israel, where there is always plenty of money for new equipment and training for pilots.
