How about learning a bit of Afrikaans!! There's this "Obsessions" thingie on my mate Caite's site and one of the obsessions reads - You want to learn Afrikaans so you can talk to your favorite South African cricketer in two languages, English and Afrikaans!!

So if you think the same, then this page is a must read. You won't become an Afrikaans expert (O no! I have no intentions of starting serious Afrikaans classes, remember this is all fun!) But just in case you have some serious ambitions to learn the language (die taal), go check out www.afrikaans.us for Afrikaans music, stories, grammar, pronunciation and more vocabulary.

Thanks a zillion to Megan from South Africa for most of the translations.
