Shahid Mahmood, Ph.D.

I am Professor and Associate Dean of Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. (www.ucp.edu.pk). I also served as a Country Director Academics & Planning at THE EDUCATORS  (a project of Beaconhouse).

I was Associate Professor of Management at University of Management & Technology (UMT),  where I served as Associate Dean Academic Planning & Quality Assurance and Coordinator Doctoral Programs. Before coming to UMT, was in the Hajvery Group of Colleges. Commissioned in the Corps of Education of Pakistan Army and retired as a Major.

I have received Ph.D. in Education, majored in Administration, from the Institute of Education & Research (IER), University of the Punjab, Pakistan. IER was established by Indiana University, USA in 1960. Now, I am working on Post-doctoral research under the guidance of Prof. Donald Sharpes, Arizona State University. My area of teaching and research interests are: organizational behavior,  academic quality assurance, and organizational development.

I have authored a book “On Education” and contributed nearly 32 published essays, refereed articles, national and international conference papers. I have worked widely with international donor organizations, international accreditation bodies, Oxford Delegacy of Local Examinations, Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKEB), schools and universities throughout Pakistan and abroad.

I have been honored to act as reviewer of Journal of International Society of Teacher Education (JISTE) and Regional Editor for Asia Minor of International Journal of Leadership in Education (www.educationarena.com).
