Secret has been missing since September and has not yet been found with my efforts.
She was sold by the person I leased her to, which they had no right to do (so they essentially stole her from me). They reported her stolen from them at first, lying to me and trying to cover the fact that they sold her out from under me. She didn't work out with the "trainer" they sold her to so she was shipped to PA.... presumably to be auctioned off:( That is as far as the Cranston P.D. was able to trace her...
I'm not getting into the situation any farther for anyone that doesn't know it.
Secret is an 19 yr old registered Thoroughbred mare. 16.1hh. Chestnut with a blaze and two hind whites, her left hind is a jagged white like a lightning bolt.
She last resided in Rhode Island.
She can occasionally have an attitude with new handlers on the ground. She is good under saddle for a confident rider. She was sound when I leased her out. She did acquire a new scar on her nose in March 2004, I don't know what it would look like today (if it is even noticeable at all).
The girl I leased her out to says she sold in PA at an auction for $400 - I do not know how or where she acquired that information.
Secret is legally mine. I hold her JC papers and a bill of sale was never drawn up. The girl I leased her to was "going to" buy her.
I am offering a reward for her safe return home.
