Seldovia Sea Otters Booster Club
Welcome and thanks for showing interest in helping us support activities for the children of Seldovia.
The Seldovia Sea Otters Booster Club was founded by concerned parents and community members in June of 2003 in response to cuts in co-curricular travel funding by the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Board. Our goal is to raise enough money on our own to replace that we lost due to the cuts. This will allow students at Susan B. English School to continue to travel for sports and academic (forensics, band, choir, spelling and geography bees) competitions. While many of our fundraisers are things you have to be here in person for, there are also some longterm programs that anyone with access to the internet can help out with, even while accomplishing their ordinary shopping. This way, grandparents, relatives, family, friends and former Seldovians, and just plain helpful individuals can contribute to our efforts toward providing the rich and varied learning environment that will help today's schoolchildren grow up to be responsible and resourceful adults.
General Foods' "Boxtops for Education" program lets you contribute in two ways. You can collect and send in specially-marked tops from many of their packaged foods, knowing that each boxtop we turn in nets the club $.10 towards a $20,000 maximum each year. Or you can place regular orders at many major online catalog stores and have a portion of your purchase value credited to our program account.
