Alajuela Campground started in 1998 in Mexico as Alamo Hostel Rosarito. In 2007 we moved the business to Costa Rica.Our hostel is different,more like a bunch of travelers sharing a big nice house! Nobody bosses you around,not too many rules, just PURA VIDA ! We offer tent spaces, RV spaces, private rooms, and dorm beds - or just sleep in one of our hammocks under shady fruit trees. All guests have 24-hour access to our full-size kitchen and laundry. We offer 5 (!) bathrooms, so no waiting in the morning. All windows are screened and our rooms are bug free! Watch cable TV in our large common room with nice couches and chairs, plug your iPod into our sound system, or listen to our music. Nice dorms with nice beds and private bathrooms. Free internet in the common room plus free Wifi in all the rooms! Relaxed atmosphere, huge garden with fruit trees, interesting plants, and wildlife to view. All ages welcome. Daily, weekly, and monthly! Friendly pets, no problemo! Our campground has a fence and gates and we have 4 nice dogs, too.Free car parking ,plenty of space in the RV Park and camping area.! Bus stop in front of property,it takes 5 min. to get to Alajuela and cost only $ 20 cents, a taxi will cost you $ 2 from downtown Alajuela and $ 10 from the airport . Camping : $ 6 a person.

Bunk beds : $ 10 a person.

Single room: $ 25 a person.

Double room: $ 30 for 2 people.

RV Space: $ 12 per campsite.
