First, I took off the seat, and gas tank...try to make sure you have very little gas in your tank when you do this to make it easier to unhook your fuel lines underneath. Here are the carbs before I did anythign to them. |

I pulled the carbs out of the 4 rubber connecting pieces. You have to take the springs of the 2 on the back of the carb and the metal rings on the 2 in the front shown in the pic below. Next you have to unhook the throttle and clutch cables. Have fun with that. |

Here it is, removed and inside. Removing it was the hardest part. After you remove the carbs, keep it upside right until you drain the fuel out of the bowls. To do this, look on the bottom of the carbs and you will see an allen screw on each one that is parallel to the ground. Loosen these and the fuel will drain out. I also had a towel under the carbs while i was removing them in case any fuel spilt. |
