The Seminole Bromeliad & Tropical Plant Society is an affiliate of the Bromeliad Society International and of the Florida Council of Bromeliad Societies. It is a circle of the Sanford Garden Club and thus affiliated with the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs.

SBTPS is a membership based fellowship of Bromeliad & Tropical Plant enthusiasts that promote and develop public awareness of the diverse plant family Bromeliaceae (Bromeliads). We share and exchange information concerning the culture, identification and hybridization of bromeliads. In acknowledging our members parallel gardening interests and affiliations we also promote many other Tropical Plant families that can be grown in our transitional temperature zone.

They traveled farther a field to attend sales events. Having collected from multiple and varied sources, their collection is extensive and varied among many genera, species and hybrid.
