| Most of the staff of Sonny & Brenda Remembered, hails from New York, The traggic event's of September 11th hit close to home. Mainly that is why we are coordinating the Fan Event: "Giving New York A Chance". We figured it would be our contribution to our city. As the first anniversary approaches we have come up with another way to honor and remember the heroes of September 11th. We will be participating in an Online Black Out, On September 11, 2002 at 11:59 P.M. Sonny & Brenda Remembered, The Maurice Benard Corner and The Vanessa Marcil Corner will be shut down in memory of those who gave their lives to save others. When trying to access any of the main pages you will automatically be re-directed to this site. All sites will re-open on September 12, 2002 at Midnight. We are taking this one step further and will be hosting a chat that night as well. At 10:00 P.M EST time, a link will be posted on this site for all interested to attend. I do not want anyone to get the wrong idea. This is not being coordinated to get more hits or publicity for SBR. I don't know about you but this past year has been very hard for me. There are times when the slightest things can be said or a certain song will come on the radio that will bring me back to that day. The memory is so vivid, the smoke so black the flames so bright. The cries so loud the bravery so extrodinary. Sitting around the television as if it was just yesterday, watching the firemen, police officers and rescue workers walk blindly into the debri. Risking their lives to save others. "The Brothers are going in", one said. And when they came out of the gaping hole, their expressions grim and frustrated. I am proud of New York and it's people, but even more proud of the way America responded to this tradegy. So we ask you to join us in remembering a piece of history that forever has touched us. We also plan to discuss what everyone thinks should become of America and the City of New York in the wake of September eleventh. We hope unity plays a special part that night and see you all there.
