Saumur Strays Cricket Club
Welcome to the Saumur Strays Cricket Club website.

The Saumur Strays are a team of nomadic cricketers who meet up once a year, usually on midsummer weekend, for a tour.

Strays players come from far and wide, but they all have a close association with Saumur Cricket Club in France's lovely Loire valley.

The Saumur Strays were founded in 1997 for a tour to the most northerly cricket ground in the world, at Umea in Sweden.

Subsequent tours have been made to Stockholm and Guttsta, Sweden (1998), Prague, Czech Republic (1999), Dublin, Republic of Ireland (2000), the Isles of Scilly, England (2001), Helsinki and Tampere, Finland (2002), Vis and Zagreb, Croatia (2003), Ljubljana, Slovenia (2004), Gibraltar (2005), and Cornwall, England (2007). From 19-23 June 2008 a number of Strays will return to their roots in Saumur, France.
