About Me
I live in Michigan and usually spend part of my time in
Pentwater, MI. I went to college at The University of Arizona in Guadalajara, Mexico and at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan where I earned a BA in Spanish and History. My graduate education was at Northeastern Illinois University where I studied linguistics & Language. I also went to Grad School at Western Michigan University where I studied the History of Popular Culture in American History. I have presented my research for The Great Lakes American Studies Association and for The American Italian Historical Association. I've worked as a secondary Teacher for the past 18 years in Michigan, Illinois and in the Washington D.C. area. Now, I dedicate my time to writing. My work is comprised of nonfiction titles such as, Romantic Friendships, Lesbian-Feminist Separatism in the 1970's, A closer look at Janis Joplin, Northern Italian Women in houghton County, Michigan 1880-1920,and Italians in Concert with their Community. Lately I have been trying some writing some fiction. I'll see how freelance writing goes for a while. My goal is to simply experience life.
