Dolphin Statement: This web site does not promote feeding, swimming with, or any inappropriate interactions with dolphin. It is Captain Skips hope to show you wildlife in a responsible way. The above picture shows how we go through and identify our by-catch. I edited the picture of the dolphin into that picture to show that we often see dolphin on all my cruises.
*As of July 25th 2008, The Alabama Marine Resources classified my Nature Trips...as fishing trips. They forced me to purchase a Party Boat Fishing license. Anyone may fish with there own rod and reel on my trips now. 2009 is my tenth year doing the Nature Tour. We have had great fun with everyone who went on our 53' boat. We have downsized to a smaller more personal operation.
Shrimp Report: June, 2009: I'm seeing medium pinks and browns in the net. The salinity is at 11 parts per thousand, very low as of June 2nd. Actual quantities of shrimp are lower compared to last year.

Dolphin Report: 2009, June: I've been seeing the most dolphin on the morning trips. The dolphin we know as Mr. Friendly, showed up at 9:30 am April 3rd. this year. There were more dolphin in his pod than when I saw him last. 2009: I wish I could say we see dolphin on every trip, however it just doesn't go that way. We don't spend our whole trip tracking down these great creatures....We just hope they'll show themselves along the way. When they do....it's a great show! Sea Turtle Report: Turtle season starts in May. Volunteers have been doing this for 3 years under the direction of Kelly Reetz and her team leaders. As of June 13th, Orange Beach has our first turtle nest of the year. I counted 103 eggs. We had to move the nest to a higher location on the beach. Our Orange Beach nest should hatch around August 7th - 15th. Fort Morgan has reported finding 16 turtle nests. Trash Report: Last year I collected 29 bags of trash while doing my Friday morning turtle patrols. As of June 2009, I have collected 8 bags of beach trash. Please put all trash in appropriate waste containers.
