| I began dyeing silk from necessity last year. I had volunteered to do a liturgical veil dance at my church (representing the flames of the Spirit on Pentecost.) I had seven people participating, and I wanted to use silk. Seven silk flame veils, anywhere I could find them online, was just waaaay out of my price range. So I got a bolt of silk and 5 colors of dye and gave it a shot. They turned out pretty well, and I was hooked. Here are my latest efforts: |
