John enjoys community and church work. Jean enjoys quilting and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains.

Jean & John  have two daughters - Kerry and Katie. Kerry is a Physician Assistant. Her husband Atul is a physician. Katie is a Speech Pathologist. John is the son of John T. and Marguerite Spellman Ryan of Saranac, NY. Jean is the daughter of Chester and Marion McCormick Thew of Peru, NY.
