I have traced Dennis R. Donovan's "HARTLEY" family line back to its origins in the U.S. They are as follows:
Hargraeves HARTLEY.
b:March 1773, at England.
d:19 Jan.1846, at Rochester, Monroe Co., N.Y.
Sp: Nancy BROOKS.
b:1776-77, at England.
d:31 Aug.1850 at Rochester, N.Y.
Both are buried at Mt.Hope Cemetery(Lot 7-Section 0).
Their son:
James William HARTLEY.
b:21 March 1805, at England.
m: 1842, at England.
d:29 May 1878, at Rochester, N.Y.
Sp: Edna Donkersley.
b:13 April 1818, at England.
d:30 May 1887, at Rochester, N.Y.
Both buried at Mt.Hope Cemetery(L46-R1).
Their Daughter:
Sophia Donkersley HARTLEY.
b:19 Dec. 1849, at Rochester, N.Y.
m:23 Dec. 1868, at Rochester, N.Y.
d: 6 March 1926, at Rochester, N.Y.
Sp: Albert C. SCHUYLER.
b: 7 July 1842, at Rochester, N.Y.
d: 29 Nov. 1921, at Rochester, N.Y.
Both are buried at Mt.Hope Cemetery(L46-R1), Rochester, Monroe Co., N.Y.
