Matsumura Shaolin Kenpo Karate
In 1997 Sensei Canter renamed his style of martial arts out of respect to Grand Master Yuichi Kuda. In keeping with tradition, Sensei Canter maintained the root system of Shorin-Ryu Matsumura Kenpo and added elements of Shaolin Long Fist and Tai Chi Chuan. Sensei Canter incorporated these soft-style kung fu techniques into his Okinawa White Swan self-defense system and thus the style was renamed "Matsumura Shaolin Kenpo Karate" reflecting the softer side of the martial arts.
