 | It was raining. We started the day by going to the Route 66 McDonalds.
We were disappointed-we were expecting more memorabilia. |

 | We hit the road again. When we stopped at the Wagon Wheel Motel for pictures, we met a
guy from New York driving Route 66. He took some photos of us with our car (showing the
back painted window) using Jerrys camera. He said he was a photojournalist for a
digital photography magazine. He thought our story was neat so he even took some pictures
of us with his camera! |

For Sale. Cuba, MO.

 | We went to the town of Arlington, which became a ghost town when Route
66 bypassed it in the 40s. Today it is a campground.
|
 | We also saw Johns Modern Cabins-which
werent really modern at all. They were abandoned log cabins that were rotting away
and were all overgrown.

 |
 | We drive on and saw Devils Elbow, which was actually
named for a bend in the river, not the road. |
|

 |

 | We only made it to Lebanon, MO tonight and stayed at the Munger
Moss Motel. We went into Lebanon for dinner and on the way back we stopped at to
take a picture of the motels neon at night and bumped into the guy from New York
again. |
