Welcome to Maxie's page. Maxie was a tan miniature dachshund. He was rescued by us when
his former owner passed away and the family could not keep him. He was also having all sorts
of health problems which included heart problems and he was also going blind. He soon became
totally blind and developed glaucoma in one eye and soon had to have the eye removed. But he
soon overcame all that and still got around like a 3 years old puppy. When he was feeling good
he had a lot of energy and was very active. On a good day he somehow could navigate around
our big back yard by himself and when he got pooped out he somehow found his way back to
the couch and snuggle up in a blanket and go to sleep. We miss him a lot a think of him often.
