Through the Looking Glass (The Secret Diaries)
(
A Collaborative Effort Inspired by the Secret Diaries of Cassandra Claire)
This site was wonderfully suggested to me by one of our authors, Beth Bernobich.  It's the best cure after a hard day of writing.  Come here to laugh by reading parodies
(and more often absolute truths) of your average day!

Don't be so blue...
A fun poem by Eyal Teler written on the Rumor Mill.  See?  THIS is why you should really go visit the Rumor Mill!!!

Speculations Rumor Mill
Speculations is an online resource for writers who wish to break into or increase their presence within the science fiction, fantasy, horror, or "other" speculative fiction genres. We publish a bimonthly magazine, a monthly market list, a Web site crammed full of resources, and host an extensive online community. Please jump in and participate if you're so inclined; we hope that you get enough value out of what's online for free to consider supporting us by subscribing.
We don't give out awards, play political games, or waste energy arguing about who is "qualified" to join us. If you've read this far, you're more than qualified. If you're ready to work, we're here to help.

SFF NET
This is a direct link to SFF.NET's specific thread on Realms of Fantasy.  A great forum to publicly ask me or Shawna McCarthy questions about what we're looking for or to learn the latest updates regarding this website, batch drop-off times, or general ROF related chit-chat.
Forward Motion
Where the writing geeks hang out...
Forward Motion's core purpose is to help writers become published, and our classes, boards and scheduled chats are aimed at those who are looking for professional publication.  We welcome serious writing hobbyists  as well, but our purpose and goals are geared toward professional careers.

Critters Workshop
Critters is an on-line workshop/critique group for serious writers of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. You get your work critiqued in exchange for critiquing the work of others, both of which are invaluable ways to improve your writing.
Ralan's Webstravaganza
Want to find out which magazines respond the fastest?  Which pay the most?  Which ones to avoid?  Ralan is your source for these and many more answers!

The Black Hole
While many Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror magazine and book publishers respond to submissions in a timely manner, many don't; and sometimes their response times are at odds with those stated in their guidelines. Which is to say, when writers submit a manuscript to an editor, they often feel like they've launched it toward a black hole. These pages are an attempt to locate verifiable response time data as well as "horror stories" for markets that have kept (or are keeping) manuscripts far longer than one might consider reasonable.
