This query page served BEVERL(E)Y researchers since November, 1996, but because I had increasingly less time to maintain it properly, in the Spring of 2000 I switched to use of the BEVERLY Surname Forums. These forums exist on the GenConnect system, hosted by Rootsweb.
The queries on this page, however, may still serve researchers well, so I continue to publish them here.
Note: The active mail links in the queries below are configured to send one copy of your message to the person who posted the inquiry, and one copy to me. If you wish to send a private message, you will need to make the change before you send it. Thanks.
BEVERLY, BERRY, SUYDAMRichard Beverly Berry - my 3d g/grandfather; know nothing of him except that he was not from around New Bern. I am convinced that Beverly was a family name since one of his nieces was also named Ruth Beverly Berry. There was another family of Beverlys in New Bern around 1937, who were kin to the Berry family (Fletcher G. Beverly). Richard Beverly Berry would have been born probably around the very, very early 1800s; married in 1831 to Sarah Anne Suydam of New Bern. Please...can anyone out there help? | Natalie, The Roscoe you inquire about may be the son of John Edward BEVERLY & Zelphia STANLEY, of Honey Camp, Dickenson Co., VA. Although my records do show that they had a son Roscoe, b. 12 Dec. 1913, and a daughter Roxie, b. 9 June 1916, along with six other children, there is no mention of a son John. (Naturally, this doesn't mean that there wasn't one.) BEVERLEY, BYRD, DUDLEY, HORSMANDANWould appreciate information about Ursula BEVERLEY, thought to be the daughter of Robert BEVERLEY and Ursula BYRD, daughter of William BYRD and Mary HORSMANDAN. Most sources only list a son, William, being born to them. Only a few have listed Ursula as being their daughter. Urusla BYRD BEVERLEY died very young and I am presuming that she died in childbirth as she died the day Ursula BEVERLEY was supposedly born. Ursula BEVERLEY married John DUDLEY and had several children. Was one of them a daughter named Audrey/Adara? Thanks for any help. Posted 6/30/97 by Janice Bedwell, rxbdwljn@gte.net Index |
