ROBERT MYSLIN

My parents immigrated to the United States from the Czech Republic in 1982, and later that year I was born (in San Diego, CA).  My family relocated to northern California when I was too young to remember.  I grew up riding my bike around the playground and chasing the butterflies without a care in the world.  But in the sixth grade I exchanged my childhood for the pursuit of academic excellence.  In 2000, I graduated from Eureka High School as salutatorian of my class, and went on to attend the University of California at Berkeley.  My main area of study was Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Immunology and Girls.  Currently I am attending Saint Louis University School of Medicine—an educational decision that forced me to trade in my mountain bike for a pair of reading glasses and a comfortable chair.  As my picture shows, I am also participating in the Armed Forces (Navy) Health Professions Scholarship Program.  I hope you have enjoyed sailing R-Myslin waterways.  Please return your life jackets at the dock.
