RMC 5 QUEENS 2     stats

In the seasons finnal regular season game, RMC bounced back from Saturdays 5-2 loss at home, to defeat Queens 5-2 for their 6th win of the season.  Both teams played their back up goaltenders with Elliot Mould stopping 50 of 52 shots to earn his first OUA career win.  RMC had goals from five different players with Adrian Hartley leading the way with 2 points in the playoff preview.  With the majority of regulars getting a small break before the playoffs start next week the game brought some confidence to the Paladins as they head into the OUA Mid East Division Semi-finals.

QUEENS 4 RMC 3     stats

In a crucial game comming off the loss to West Point RMC faced Queens in an opportunity to move into second place and have home ice advantage for the playoffs.  The Paladins could not muster a win as they lost 4-3 in front of a rowdy home crowd.  The Paladin powerplay cound not click as they went 1 for seven on the manadvantage while giving up a power play goal. The Paladins killed all 4 short handed situations.  In a chippy game that is sure to be a good preview of the first round of the playoffs, these two teams proved to be evenly matched.  Former Queens playe Matt Reid led the Paladins with a goal and an assist in a losing cause.

In the 72nd meeting of these two schools Army defeated RMC 4-0 in fornt of nearly 3000 fans at West Point's Tate Rink in Hudson New York.  The game was a tight affair for the first half as it remained scorless through a period and a half.  Army fijnally managed to score their ownly even strength goal 11 minutes in to the second period.  Goalie John Haggis blanked the Black Knights stopping 30 shots before the first goal.  Overall RMC was outshot 50-21 during the game.  After their first goal Army scored 3 power play goals in 12 chances for the game while the RMC power play was limited to only 4 power play chances and could not score.  In a penalty filled game RMC had 19 penalties for a total of 71 minutes in penalties while Army had 10 penalties for a total of 42 minutes.

Ryerson 4 RMC 2     stats
In a battle to remain in second spot in the Mid East, RMC faced the fourth place Ryerson Rams at home and could not put the pesky Ryerson team away.  In a tight close game with each team registering 35 shots the difference was a power play marker by Ryerson and an insurance empty net goal with less than a minute left that allowed Ryerson to leave with a 4-2 victory.  Louis Charland and Matthew Maurice scored for the Paladins who were 0 for 2 on the power play.  This loss combined with a Queens vicotry over Ryerson on Saturday drops RMC back into third place in the Mid East with only two league games against Queens left in the regular season.

U of T 3 RMC 2     stats
Despite being outshot 44-22 in a hard fought divisional battle the Paladins managed to force the division leading U of T Varsity Blues to pull out all the stops in a tight 3-2 loss.  Coming off an 11-2 trouncing of Queens the night before, the U of T looked a little unorganized and lacksidasical in their second game of the weekend.  The did however manage to hold off the hard charging Paladins.   Louis Charland led the Paladins with a goal and an assist while Adrian Hartley added the other.  John Haggis stopped 41 of the 44 shots he faced.  The Paladins only allowed one power play goal against in seve short handed situations while they scored one power play goal in four chances.  The loss leaves the Paladins 3-6 in the second half but still one point up on Queens in the race for second spot.

Queens 3  RMC 1    stats
In the second half of the home and home series the Paladins could not manage to put away the Queens Golden Gaelss on home ice.  Despite out shooting, the Gaels 51-29, RMC was on the wrong end of a 3-1 score.  Queens managed to finally ice the game with an empty net goal in the last minute.  In front of a large home crowd the Paladins could not catch a break against Gaels goalie Matt Kenny or get their special teams clicking on all gears.  The Paladins were 0 for 5 on the power play while they allowed 2 Queens power play goals in 4 chances.  The win move Queens back to with in one point of RMC in the race for second spot.

RMC 2 Queens 1    stats

In a thrilling game at a packed Jock Hardy Arena, RMC notched thier fifth win of the season with a 2-1 overtime win against Queens.  RMC oushot Queens 50-28 but required an overtime goal from Louis Charland to open up a 3 point lead over the Golden Gaels in the race for second in the Mid East.  Against and undisciplined Queens team Pat MacDonald notched a power play goal as the other RMC scorer.  For the night RMC was 1 for 6 on the power play while killing off their 3 penalties.
