Portfolio Design – by Harold Linton
This is an excellent guide to putting together your portfolio,
particularly useful to the first-timer. Chapters include: ‘What is The Design Portfolio?’, ‘Getting Started’, and ‘Developing The Layout’. This book really helps break down this overwhelming process, explaining what you are seeking to achieve through the creation of your portfolio, and therefore making sense of how to tackle the task. There are also lots of
visuals, to illustrate points made, and to provide inspiration. There is even a section entitled ‘Digital Portfolios’, which really struck a chord in this ever-increasing virtual world, particularly as we seek to further utilize this medium through RISEN.
This is a great buy for any student, but particularly useful to us as pupils of a distance-learning
program, where interaction amongst peers is more limited.
