Rev. Jesse W. Brown, Jr.
Reverend Jesse W. Brown, Jr. has battled against social and economic oppression in a series of high-profile campaigns that have impacted communities around the nation. He is a powerful and spellbinding Black preacher who is as comfortable in sneakers and T-shirts as he is in a clerical collar. Over the past decade, Brown has traveled throughout the nation, mobilizing communities to fight the tobacco and alcohol industries. Brown also has been outspoken on violence, especially gang and drug warfare. He has lifted his voice against environmental injustices that place black communities at risk for deaths from toxic waste land fills, factory gasses and other forms of environmental pollution. He has led the fight against drug use-everything from marijuana blunts to crack cocaine. His work has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, and BET, in the pages of news papers across the country and on radio broadcasts worldwide. He speaks to issues of diversity, inclusiveness and community healing in a way that brings people together and helps them unify around common goals. BRING THIS MAJOR VOICE FOR JUSTICE TO YOUR COMMUNITY OR CAMPUS!
