THE SUFFOLK LABS
I actually work for Mastiff Rescue (MCOA Rescue) but when I was asked to help these labs, I could not say no.  These dogs were rescued from a property in Suffolk, VA.  These poor dogs were missing hair, had bloated bellies, had parasites, and are very unsocialized.  Most dogs had missing hair on parts of their bodies, one had missing teeth and an ear infection very severe (one that must have been going on for quite a while).  Many of these dogs were chained to their houses with a heavy chain that was just long enough to climb on top of their houses.
These dogs lived in their own feces, mud, and water that in some places came up to our knees.  When drier land was available, these dog houses were placed in the muddiest and wettest places.
This water was so deep, the men had to wear tall boots.  I would guess in some places, it was three feet deep.  This water was still and you could see floating "fungus" on top.  This water filled most of the pens.
The dog in this house had no where to go to stay dry.  Mud went all the way up to it's house and there was mud inside the house.  Look at the "fungus" floating on top.
