We started out with our 125 gal. tank as a freshwater set-up back in 1999 and decided to switch over to a saltwater reef tank after seeing how beautiful they are.  We  started this reef tank in Sept. 2001  please check back now and then, we are constantly adding new corals. Not to mention Lori loves playing with her digital camera!

OUR EQUIPMENT:
*125 gallon all glass aquarium
*fluvol 404 canister filter
*Berlin hang on protein skimmer powered  by a mag drive 7 pump
*4 powerheads (3 aquaclear 802's & 1 rio  2100) all connected to a wavemaker  powerstrip.
*Homemade pine canopy with lights 10" from top of water to bottom of fixture (about 15" to bulbs) and 2  4"  fans  that come  on with lights timer.
*lighting: Coralife fixture with built in fan (worth the 4 hour drive to  thatpetplace)
3 175 watt 55K metal halides
2 48" 40 watt blue actinics
*2 visi therm heaters
*tap water purifier
*grounding rod
*mag float cleaning magnet

220 pounds live rock

our water temp. is constantly at 78 degrees.

We don't plan on having many
FISH, mostly corals. For now we have a large maroon clown, VERY large naso tang, purple tang, yellow tang, mandarin gobie, 2 sifting stars, 2 brittle stars, 20 blue leg hermits, 40 scarlet reef hermits, 30 turbo snails, 1 sally lightfoot, 3 emerald crabs, 1 peppermint shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp, 3 serpent stars..

CORALS for now are, large toadstool leatherr, umbrella, tonga mushrooms, trumpet, colt, carnation, striped mushrooms, devil hand  MANY MORE TO COME!
