I have been
breeding Wests for 11 years. I got my start from a fine gentleman in
central Texas by the name of Wes Fitch. Over the
years, Wes and I have become good friends. We have had some very good, friendly
competition at our local shows. I breed only Baldhead pattern Wests. I have them
in most of the basic colors. I have forsaken all other patterns of West of
England Tumblers for the Baldheads because it is so very hard to breed a quality
Baldhead. If I kept every pattern and color of West there is, I would never
reach my goal of breeding the best Baldhead West of England Tumblers in the
USA.
My Baldheads excel in power, type and station. I
breed for power and station first. Only after I have accomplished the type of
West I want do I concentrate on putting on the good markings and color. In a
way, I'm kind of backwards but it has been successful and people seem to like my
birds. I have sold birds all over the United States. To date, I have won 7 District shows and 3 National Best Baldhead
Championships.
Red Bar, Old Cock #717 This bird was a two time National Best Baldhead at the NPA National in Oklahoma City (1995) and Salt Lake City (1996) He has also won back to back District III shows in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He excels in station, type and power. A very pleasant bird in a cage. Loves to be at the big shows. I think he knows he is good and loves to show it. My bloodline is centered around this family. His most valuable asset is that he produces excellent stock birds. His off-spring produce better show quality birds than he does. He has past on this past year but his bloodline is still very strong throughout my loft. |
Blue Bar OH #402 A fine stock hen. She has a rich pedigree. Another fine producer of quality show birds and stock birds. |

| Black Self Cock #400-03
This is a son of #3366 Black Mottle Hen pictured above. Super head and body on this bird. Looking forward to seeing if he is carrying his mothers good lines.

Blue Bar Baldhead OC #476-02 Nice well balanced cock bird. Producer of some nice silver bar hens last year. Mated to a blue check hen #452 in hopes to get a few good silver checks.
Blue Check Hen #452 One of my all time favorite baldheads. She is white hocked and 9x9 on flight count. Super solid body and type. She is mated to the above Blue Bar. |
