| Most people want to know about mods and HP gains. Here's a breakdown of my Expeirence with each. KKM Intake Kit: I ordered this at Kustomz.com It is a nice little addition that was mostly heard rather than a gain by itself. Exhaust: I got this mod at a local exhaust shop. I got a Dynomax Turbo muffler with 2 1/4 inch piping. again this was nice little mod that tied in with the open air intake. together, I noticed a crisper throttle responce and a little performance through out the power band And of course a nice sound! Superchip: I bought this at Kustomz.com and I like it. I noticed a gain mostly becuase the chip allowed the truck to shift at about 4600rpm. Stock was about 3900rpm. I got a little shaper shifts under hard accelaration. Prow Flo MASS: I got this through Pro Flow.com I was really not impressed with this mod. I did not notice any improvement. A am still unsure if this was worth the money or not. BBK Throttle Body: I got this mod at truck performance.com and I like it. I got quicker throttle responce and quicker off the line launches. To me this was worth the $210.00 Bones L/S: All I can say is "Fun" in the rain. I got the this installed at a local Drivetrain shop and this is a nice mod to help get the power to the ground. I got decent traction punching it off the line on dry pavement but It is very easy to get big time squirlly on wet pavement. Better than the "one wheel wonder" days. All in all worth the $325.00 Final Thought: If your looking for performance gains, bolt on's work! Don't get discouraged by one bolt on making no difference at all. I firmly beielve that they all compliment each other in one way or another. All complied together I noticed very nice launches, alot better throttle responce, and awesome burnouts.Plain and simple this truck breathes alot easier! Most of all it's made driving my Ranger really fun. You'll not break land speed records but a nice respectable increase. For anyone that tows, I noticed alot less stress on the motor. |
