| The plan was building a cockpit for games like Gran Turismo 3 , so I chose a higher driving position for the seat, for fans of formula one games, you should go for a lower driving position. The main materials I used where aluminium tubes with 3 centimetres and wood also 3 centimetres thick. For the union of the materials I used metal plates. More important than the weight was the stability of the wheel support, so that the wheel Force Feedback effects didnīt get lost in an instable cockpit. Click in the plans photo above, and get a picture of the cockpit with all the dimentions, that are for a person of 1.80 meters high, so make the adjustments to your high, or to the cockpit size to fit your house doors, and make it easy to dismount the seat for an easy transport of the cockpit. |
