This site began life as the homepage for BQHL, the British Quilt History List - a free internet mailing list for anyone interested in the history of British Quilts and domestic textiles. As the list has grown, to reflect the broad interests of members and the intrinsic connection between quiltmaking and all branches of textile history, it is now known as the British Quilt and Textile History List. For information about the list, and how to join, please go to www.yahoogroups.com and search for the BQTHL group. Although UK orientated the list is international, and you will find a warm welcome there.
Since taking the domain name www.BritishQuiltHistory.co.uk this page has established itself in search engines and as a recommended link on a number of sites across the web. So that this goodwill should not go to waste, I intend that it should remain as a gateway to interesting British-orientated links for anyone who finds us in their surfing travels.
If you click on 'links' you will find some pages which listmembers have recommended as of interest. If you click on 'articles' you will find contributions from listmembers on a variety of subjects.
