Canadian artist Blair Brown, has been doing pyrographic art since the mid 1940s, and his works reflect his life in Canada, as well as countries in southern and east Africa. Most of his works in pyrography are after his own photographs.

Recounting Blair Brown's story and discovery of pyrography and displaying more of his works, is an illustrated article entitled Blair Brown: Nova Scotia and Beyond published in "Pyrograffiti" in the May-June 2007 issue of WOM, linked here.
