Nomad Family by Abdulwahab Mihoub Algeria Pyrograph on wood, 55 cm by 40 cm This image shows how nomads used to live in Algeria. Today there are fewer and fewer nomads living in tents as the cities progressively swallow them.

Tomb of the Kings by Abdulwahab Mihoub Algeria Pyrograph on wood, 80 cm by 60 cm This is the burial crypt in Touggourt, Algeria where the kings of the city were buried in centuries past. It remains the same today.

Born and raised in the oasis city of Touggourt, Algerian Abdulwahab Mihoub started working in pyrography when he was 18 years old. He is self-taught. His work is original and mainly focuses on the traditional scenes, landscapes, people, and customs of the Sahara. He has been interviewed and shown on TV by the Algerian channel.
