Puzzles Without Rules has moved to blog format: puzzleswithoutrules.blogspot.com

Less overhead in posting new puzzles will hopefully inspire me to post more often. I'll be posting new puzzles there as well as occasionally migrating over some of my favorite older puzzles from this website (especially when I'm out of ideas).

I'll be leaving this site here for a while, but won't be updating it anymore.

Welcome to Puzzles Without Rules, a regularly updated, free source of original mind-breaking puzzles. Tired of the same old crosswords and cryptograms? Ready to unleash your lateral thinking and stretch mental muscles you never thought you had?

This site presents a home for a new kind of advanced puzzle, where half the challenge is just figuring out the rules. Some may take a minute, others may take an hour or more, but all the puzzles on this site will push your ability to think outside the box to a new level.

To get started, take a look at the Archive of past puzzles, which includes hints and solutions for each. Once you think you've got the idea and are ready for the real deal, take a crack at the current Puzzle of the Week. Hints for the current puzzle will be posted periodically and a solution will be posted when the next puzzle goes up. If you solve it before the solution is posted, send it in and you can be immortalized in the Hall of Fame.
