So Gavin Rossdale, David Parsons, Nigel Pulsford and Robin Goodridge took their chances on the other side of the pond - the USA - where they made it big time.
They have released 4 albums: Sixteen stone, Razorblade Suitcase, Deconstructed(re-mixes) and the recently released The Science Of Things. Later this year they will be playing some gigs in the UK to promote some of the stuff that will be on their new album which is to be released earlier next year.
Gavin Rossdale is lead vocals and guitar.
Nigel Pulsford is lead guitar.

Robin Goodridge is drums.
They are regularly featured in magasines such as Kerrang and Melody Maker.

They have made numerous albums including: Insomniac, Dookie and Nimrod - i reccomend Dookie, it is their best album and also one of my favourite albums of all time.
At the moment Greenday are recording a new album which should be released later this year. Following this they will be touring the USA and after that hopefully visit the UK.
Greenday are Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt.

I do not know that much about them apart from that they play excellent music and they hail from Ireland.
At present they are recording a new album and hope to tour the UK when it is finished.
