The water guns which are discussed here are generaly from the comercial retail age of power or soakers that are inspired by that age. This retail age would cover generaly 1989-2003 of the Larimi Super Soaker toy line, also called the golden age of retail soakers.
That retail age was a time when many people bought soakers primarily to kick someones ass while wanting to look cool doing it. A time where it was more about you and your fun, instead of team play and fair game. A time where the point was to dump as much water as possible over those punks who shamelessly dared to stand at the end of your nozzle. A time where soaker arms races happened in many local neighbourhoods, focusing on having the biggest soaker with the most bang.
