POTTA is a part of Chalakudy town located about 20 miles South of Trichur (also known as Thrissur / Trissur )and 30 miles north of Kochi - also known as Cochin, the two Cities in south India. Actually POTTA is part of CHALAKUDY municipal area and it is situated 2 km north of Chalakudy South Jn.,and DIVINE MURINGOOR is at 1 km south of Chalakudy South Jn., along NH - 47 (National Highway No. 47). But two Retreat centres are managed by the same Vincentian Fathers. A Catholic Vincentian priest, Fr. Mathew Naickomparampil, during his intense search for God, started a prayer group in the late 80s in the local church. Here, he received several divine revelations and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Later, that prayer group became one of the most powerful ministries in the world under the leader ships of Fr.George Panakkal and Fr.Augustine Vallooran. Through this ministry, thousands have been led to faith in Jesus; numerous people continue to be annointed as preachers of the Word of God and several retreat centers have been opened throughout India. It is now Asia's largest and biggest Retreat Centre. In all these retreats and conventions, preachers and evangelists share and proclaim The Word of God. It is a truth that God "confirms His word " in these places by showering abundant blessings on the participants through miracles, healing and transformation of lives. Occasionally, Fr. Mathew and other members of the Divine team conduct retreats and Bible conventions in various parts of the world.
