I am from beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I was diagnosed with Variegate Porphyria in May 1997. It is an inherited, rare and complex
metabolic disease in which the nervous system and skin can be affected. Information about porphyria and places to meet others with porphyria can be found at my Links page. In Memory of Jacquie, is Mary's page dedicated to her daughter, Jacquie, who was diagnosed with porphyria in November of 1996. Mara's Porphyria Journey is her personal porphyria story.
