POPIC is no longer in existence. However, there is a new group in Charlottesville called the Parenting Network of Charlottesville (PNOC). Visit their yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pnoc/ to find out more information.

We're parents who have formed a non-profit, no dues organization that works to provide fun, low or no-cost learning adventures for our children aged six and younger. We also share information on parenting resources in Charlottesville, and provide a warm welcome and orientation information to newcomer families with small children.

We know life is pretty hectic with wee ones, so we expect nothing of our members except to plug in a little support if and when it serves the purposes of their families and would be rewarding for the parent. We have no mandatory meetings and there are no obligations. Our interest is in building a strong sense of community and helping our parents of preschoolers problem-solve with the help of new friends.

Our operations rely upon using the internet (it's all we really have time for.) Access to our Members-Only site requires an e-mail address. But our activities are open to the public, and we list some of them at the www.AlbemarleFamily.com web site (a tremendous resource to local families!)

Use the directory below to overview the various pages of our site. Then, from the yellow menu on your left, navigate to where you want to go next!
