| In 1995 he played PONTI, a Street Tango Dancer in the movie THE LESSON, produced and Directed by Wendell Robinson in Washington DC. The same year He met Actor and Tango Lover Robert Duval and his beautiful Partner Luciana Pedraza. He assisted them to host tango events at their estate in The Plains Virginia. |
| In early 2005 again as a Tango Dancer, He opened the second series "NIGHT CRY" with Zuli Russi. In June traveled to Buenos Aires and Performed in La Boca at the world famous "CAMINITO". In September performed for The Annual EURONET Masquerade Ball at The Embassy of Finland. In December at The Embassy of Argentina they performed with Bandoneon Master Ruben Juarez. |

| In 1999 He performed at WOLF TRAP, for the Annual Fund Raising that had Argentina as its main theme. The same year He hosted a Tango Show in Washington DC at CocoLoco Restaurant, "Tango with Ponti & Friends", a Tribute to his dear Mother. The following year, He brings his Art at Miss Latina USA 2000. In 2002, as a Singer He launched his First CD "Estrellita Del Sur", a Compilation of Argentine Tangos & Peruvian Valses produced and recorded in Lima. |
| In the Private sector he counts with exhibitions at: The World Bank,The Inter American Development Bank,The Organization of American States,The George Mason University his alma matter, and others. In the Public Sector he showed his Art at: The National Building Museum, The Library of Congress,The Social Security Administration,Homeland Security and The Woodrow Wilson House among others. |
| In April 2006 Ponti and Zuli at Gala Event "Dancing with The Stars" at The Garrett-Jacobs Mansion in Baltimore. In June as Gino Cazalle and Zuli Russi as Diana Montero, participated in the movie The Tango Dancer, Directed by Francis Xavier and showed at The Charles Theatre in Baltimore. In September for The Hispanic Month Heritage; They with Christine Yacoube performed at DHS Department of Homeland Security in Washington, with Fabiana Franco at The Masonic Temple for consecutive year. In October with Bandoneonist Daniel Diaz, Ponti and Zuli in a Tango Tertulia at Rumberos Cafe in DC. Also joined a Fundraising Event by Silvia Radwan and Alianza Latina in Virginia. Ponti and Zuli invited by Host Chairman Jorge Lozano to participate at the 8th Annual Hispanic Leadership Awards, honoring Congresman Tom Davis and Frank Wolf celebrated at George Mason Hall in George Mason University. In December, The Venetian Masquerade Ball at The Washington Club in DC, Ponti and Zuli performed consecutive year in another EURONET Gala Event. |
| As a performer he has participated in numerous festivals, among them The Annual Argentine Festival of Tango in Virginia. He has contributed in Fundraising Events such as The Hispanic Scholarship Fund of Maryland. His curriculum include many performances at various Embassies and Diplomatic venues in Washington DC such as The Russian House, The Embassy of: Argentina, Uruguay & Finland. The Arts & Performances Venues such as Musseums and Private Galleries along with an oustanding Performance in Wolf Trap |

| A Bohemian Gipsy-Trovador and a Marketing Professional in Virginia is the Founder and President of PONTITANGO. He has been Teaching, Performing, Acting, Compousing and Promoting Tango in The Washington Metropolitan Area since the early 90s. He discovered Tango at a very early age inspired by his mother, an Argentine Tango Dancer Blanca Mercado and her memories of Stage Tango. He inmigrated to the United States in 1984 while his Father was holding a Diplomatic Post in Washington DC. |
