A freeware java application that helps you  manage your contacts efficiently.



Application description

Phonebook is a contacts manager application written in Java. It can store name, surname, mobile phone number, telephone, e-mail and postal address of a person.
It also shows creation and modification date of contacts. Contact can arranged in four different ways. Last but not least you can search into the phonebook using name, surname, mobile etc.

Easy to use!

You can perform the same action in more than way (right click, quick access menu, normal menu).
Information messages pop up, or are shown in the log-messages area on bottom of the application windows. They keep you informed about every action made.

Fast and effective!

You can search your contacts using either the name, surname, telephone number or mobile phone number. Contacts can be sorted by name, surname,
creation and modification date. Makes it very easy to find the person you are looking for.

In ordrer to run phonebook you need to have java 1.4.1 or newer installed. You can find it in
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/download.html

Windows i586

Extract the installer, run it to install, and start using phonebook.

Linux

Download phonebook.tar.gz file, open a shell and type:

gunzip phonebook093.tar.gz (This will unzip file phonebook093.tar will be created)
tar xvf phonebook093.tar (This will create a directory named "phonebook093". )
cd phonebook093 (now you are in the newly created directory)
java -jar phonebook093.jar & (this is to run the application)
