Bear is a double registered Classic American Shetland and Pinto Pleasure Pony.  We expect Bear to sire a high percentage of color (100% to date) as he carries genes for Tobiano, Splash White Overo, and Sabino and/or Frame Overo.  Bear's sire, J-J's Painted Duke, is a known carrier of Frame Overo along with Tobiano and Splash White Overo.  Bear's grandsire, J-J's Painted Apache is a Frame Overo.  There is a good possibility that Bear could be homozygous for both Tobiano and Black.  Testing will be done soon.

Bear was Natiional Top 10 All Star in Foundation Junior Stallion and Foundation Classic Model Stallion in 2001.
Bear is on lease for the rest of the 2005 breeding season to The Hitchin' Post, Joan Olson, Volga, SD.  He will be breeding the H.P. herd of intensely Wink's bred black and white small Shetland mares.  We look forward to seeing his 2006 H.P. foal crop!
Blue Chip is a gorgeous True Blue Roan who is also going grey (True Roan sire, grey dam).  He has size and movement and we are thrilled with his 2004 foals.

Blue Chip will be residing at
Bellevue Farm in 2004 & 2005.  Look for his return to Platte Ridge in 2006.

Bellevue Farm is expecting several Blue Chip foals in 2005 and we will have updates on his 2005 Bellevue foal crop on his foal page.

Every Foundation breeder dreams of having the opportunity to add old bloodlines to their herd.  Copy is the fullfillment of that dream for Platte Ridge Farm.  Due to his age we won't be using Copy excessively or offering outside breedings but we look forward to enriching our Foundation breeding program with this spectacular stallion!

A huge Thank You to
Bellevue Farm for allowing us to bring Copy home!

News Flash - Our first Copy baby was born on April 9, 2005 - A FILLY!  See her on our
