| Bear is a double registered Classic American Shetland and Pinto Pleasure Pony. We expect Bear to sire a high percentage of color (100% to date) as he carries genes for Tobiano, Splash White Overo, and Sabino and/or Frame Overo. Bear's sire, J-J's Painted Duke, is a known carrier of Frame Overo along with Tobiano and Splash White Overo. Bear's grandsire, J-J's Painted Apache is a Frame Overo. There is a good possibility that Bear could be homozygous for both Tobiano and Black. Testing will be done soon. Bear was Natiional Top 10 All Star in Foundation Junior Stallion and Foundation Classic Model Stallion in 2001. |
